About the Day

Join us for a full day of hands-on, practical Forest School CPD in the beautiful surroundings of Greenwich Park. This immersive training day is designed specifically for qualified Forest School Leaders who want to refresh skills, gain new ideas, and build confidence delivering sessions in a range of woodland environments.

All equipment and materials are provided by FSLI, allowing you to fully engage, experiment, and learn without needing to bring anything except outdoor clothing and enthusiasm.

FSLI will also provide an update on current course criteria, along with any relevant changes to legislation or Forest School Leader course content.

Morning Workshops

Participants will rotate through three engaging, practical workshops led by experienced Forest School practitioners.

🌿 Willow Weaving

• Learn threading, framing, and functional weaving techniques

• Create simple projects to take back to your own setting

🏕️ Shelters & Ropes

• Explore a variety of tarp shelters

• Develop knot knowledge and create adaptable structures

🍃 Nature Connection

• Experience sensory-based activities

• Learn nature walks and scavenger hunts to deepen learner connection with the outdoors

Afternoon Free-Flow Session

The afternoon offers open access to a range of stations where you can choose what to practise, revisit, or refine.

• Tool handling and safe-use practice

• Knot-tying, rope skills, and shelter construction

• General skills updates for Forest School delivery

This flexible format allows you to tailor your learning experience to your interests and professional needs.
